NEW DELHI: India stuttered and lost four batters by stumps on Day 3 while chasing 145 to win the second Test against Bangladesh on a turning track at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
The visitors were tottering at 45/4 at close of play on Friday, with Axar Patel (26*) and Jaydev Unadkat (3*) unbeaten at the crease.
India, who are leading the two-match series 1-0, lost out-of-form KL Rahul for 2 runs.
After Shakib Al Hasan got an early breakthrough in the form of Rahul, Mehidy Hasan Miraz struck thrice to send Cheteshwar Pujara (2), Shubman Gill (7), and Virat Kohli (1) packing.
Bangladesh were all out for 231 in their second innings on Saturday, setting India a victory target of 145.
Litton Das (73) and Zakir Hasan (51) struck half-centuries for the hosts.
Left-arm spinner Axar Patel (3-68) was the pick of the Indian bowlers on day three of the low-scoring contest.
The two-match series is part of the ICC World Test Championship.
