Rourkela’s Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium (BMHS) will make its debut, both as an international venue and as World Cup co-host on the same day, January 13. The stadium complex, which includes a first of its kind World Cup Village as well, was unveiled amid much fanfare last week.
A total of 44 matches, 20 at BMHS and 24 at the Kalinga, will culminate with the final in Bhubaneswar on January 29.

WORLD CUP TRIVIA
After 1982 it will be the first time that an Indian team will play at a World Cup as a medallist from the last Olympics, as India won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 to end a 41-year wait.
