NEW DELHI: After India’s superb performances in the first two Tests against Australia, the BCCI’s selection committee on Sunday decided to retain the same squad for the third and fourth Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
The selectors once again showed their faith in out-of-form vice-captain KL Rahul by retaining him for the last two matches of the series.
Rahul’s prolonged lean patch has become a huge talking point and the clamours of dropping him from the team has been growing with each passing day.

The third Test will be played in Indore from March 1 while Ahmedabad will host the fourth and last Test.
The Indian team for the upcoming three-match ODI series has also been announced with Rohit Sharma leading the side.
However, Rohit will not feature in the series opener and Hardik Pandya will lead the side in his absence.
“Mr Rohit Sharma will be unavailable for the first ODI due to family commitments and Mr Hardik Pandya will lead the side in the first ODI,” BCCI release said.
The first ODI of the series will be played on March 17 in Mumbai followed by 2nd ODI in Visakhapatnam on March 19 and 3rd ODI in Chennai on March 22.
