Former England women’s team captain Charlotte Edwards will be the team’s head coach, while former India all-rounder Devieka Palshikaar will be the side’s batting coach and Trupti Chandgadkar Bhattacharya has been appointed the team’s manager.
Goswami, a Padma Shri and Arjuna awardee, is considered to be one of the greatest bowlers to have ever played the sport. In a career spanning 20 years, she took 350 international wickets. She holds the record of taking the highest number of wickets in women’s ODI history and the most wickets at the Women’s World Cups.

Goswami rose to number one in the ICC Women’s ODI bowling rankings in January 2016 and post her retirement has been helping groom the next generation of cricketers as the mentor of Bengal women’s team.
Edwards is widely regarded as one of women’s cricket all-time greats. She enjoyed a career spanning 20 years and captained England to ODI and T20I World Cup wins.
