Gill also now has the highest T20I score by an Indian — 126 not out — followed by Virat Kohli‘s 122* vs Afghanistan that he scored in Dubai in 2022. Rohit is third on the list with his 118-run knock that came against Sri Lanka in Indore in 2017.

Gill also hit his highest individual scores of 208 and 123* in ODIs and T20Is respectively against New Zealand.
Gill reached his maiden T20I fifty off 35 balls with a single off Santner.
Gill brought up his century with a four over the mid-off fielder off the bowling of Lockie Ferguson in the first ball of the 18th over. He broke free and clobbered Ferguson over mid-wicket for a huge six in the next ball.
