Returning from injury after a gap of five months, Jadeja first on Day 1 starred with a fifer (5/47) and then backed it up with an unbeaten 66 on the second day as India wrapped up the second day at 321 for 7 in reply to Australia’s 177, taking a crucial 144-run lead.
The fifty from Jadeja, his 18th in the longest format was followed by his trademark sword celebration as the Nagpur crowd erupted in joy.
